Dana Point Ocean Institute

The Dana Point Ocean Institute is a community-based, non-profit organization. It was founded in 1977 to educate children, teachers, parents, and visitors. The institute is located in the Dana Point Harbor near the Marine Life Conservation Area. The Ocean Institute is an ocean education center that offers marine science, maritime history, and outdoor education programs. They have family programs, summer camps, cruises, tall ship sails, and public events. Two of their larger annual events are the Toshiba Tall Ships Festival and Festival of Whales.
